Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is about to add one more title to her résumé: fragrance creator.

Kardashian, best known for her role on the E! Entertainment channel reality series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” (which also features her sisters, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie, her mother Kris, and her stepfather, Bruce Jenner) and her frequent appearances in the tabloids, has signed a beauty deal with fledgling beauty firm Lighthouse Beauty. Kardashian’s first fragrance is expected to launch in spring 2010.

“Collaborating with Lighthouse Beauty was a really creative, innovative process,” said Kardashian, who also has a beauty and fashion blog, kimkardashian.com, and operates a Calabasas, Calif.-based clothing boutique, Dash, with sisters Khloe and Kourtney. “What’s so different about their approach is that they have worked closely with me on all aspects of my fragrance, the bottle, the juice, and even our distribution strategy so I can develop a product that truly represents me and speaks to my fans. Because of their commitment to including me in the process, the fragrance really captures who I am.”

She declined to give further details about the fragrance.

“Having worked with some of the top talent in the entertainment industry, I have a unique perspective on capturing the essence of a celebrity in a product,” said Chris Lighty, chief executive officer of Brand Asset Group, founder of Violator Management and a partner in Lighthouse Beauty. “We worked closely with top perfumers to infuse Kim’s larger-than-life personality into a fragrance that will really speak to her fans.”

Lighthouse Beauty, whose first project, Power by 50 Cent, will launch this fall, is a new beauty company comprised of a group of high-profile partners. They include Lighty; Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson; Howard Sherman of Mod Beauty; Glenn Nussdorf, a major shareholder of Parlux, Perfumania and Quality King Distributors, and Philip Zellner of Product King Marketing, World Source Marketing Group, 111 Design and Edge Display.

Earlier this year, Lighty explained that he saw an opportunity in establishing a destination for artists and celebrities to create and distribute their brands from start to finish. “What we’ll do at Lighthouse Beauty is not only transform a name into a product, but also take that product from its inception to the shelves,” he said. “We are bringing the different marketing attributes to the table along with the celebrity pop culture aspect, and using all of those tools to really make these collaborations work.”

In addition to her fragrance, Kardashian is also filming a new workout DVD, executive producing her first TV show, Crisis Control, and working on ShoeDazzle, an online shoe company.
