In Brief: Kellwood's New Hire... Herbert Mines Taps Three

Kellwood Co. has tapped George Sokolowski as vice president strategy and chief marketing officer.

KELLWOOD'S NEW HIRE: Kellwood Co. has tapped George Sokolowski as vice president strategy and chief marketing officer. He succeeds Patrick J. Burns, who was named group president of Kellwood's Lifestyle Alliance in September. Most recently, Sokolowski was managing partner of SkyTop Advisors, a retail marketing advisory group. Earlier, he was executive vice president and chief marketing officer of The TJX Cos. Sokolowski reports to Robert C. Skinner Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Kellwood.

HERBERT MINES TAPS THREE: Herbert Mines Associates, the executive search firm, has promoted Kristin Dennehy and Heidi Rustin to managing directors and Ruth Raisman to vice president. They will report to Hal Reiter, chairman and chief executive officer. Dennehy joined HMA in 1996 and has more than 15 years experience placing chief executive, chief operating and chief financial officers, as well as senior marketing, merchandising, design, stores and human resource officials. Rustin joined the firm as a principal in 2003, became a vice president in 2005 and is responsible for driving new business development, focusing on the fashion, luxury and retail sector. Raisman joined HMA in 2005 as a senior associate and was named principal in 2006. She has more than 15 years of merchandising experience that includes strategic and financial planning, brand positioning and wholesale, e-commerce and retail sales.
