Unique RTW Fall 2009 Backstage

Annabella Lwin, lead singer of Bow Wow Wow, and girls playing double Dutch were inspirations for Samantha Hillerby’s hairstyles at Topshop Unique. "We’ve braided really thick and chunky random cornrows all
over the head, " she said backstage, adding that she worked mousse into the hair to create grip and finished the look with ribbons and neon elastics."It’s very young and fresh. "

Miranda Joyce, who was working with MAC Cosmetics at the show, also
channeled music through makeup and was inspired by Iggy Pop, David Bowie and Bow Wow Wow. "The main focus is the metallic mouth, " she said. To create high-shine lips, Joyce mixed MAC pigments in Copper and Rose Gold together with an alcohol base. Models’ skin was clean save for a smidgen of concealer,  if required, and a hint of Blushcreme in Posey on cheeks. Joyce rimmed lower eyelids with eyeliner in Foxy Lady.
