The foundation recognized Bloomingdale's as Retailer of the Year and the Estée Lauder Cos.' Certified Organic Preservation technology as the Technological Breakthrough of the Year.
FiFi's also went to four magazines for "editorial excellence in fragrance coverage." For their feature stories on men's fragrance, Best Life and Elle magazines took home awards, as did Marie Claire for Women's Scent Bite (in the 250- to 500-word category) and Allure for Women's Scent Feature.
Glassberg, who helped kick off the morning's festivities, admitted having bought her first bottle of Charlie when she was seven years old and noted that she even named her dog Coco.
In addition to the awards, the breakfast determined final nominees in some 16 FiFi's categories, including Fragrance of the Year finalists for Women's Nouveau Niche. They included Andy Warhol Silver Factory and New York Bryant Park by Bond No. 9, Gucci by Gucci from P&G Prestige Products Inc., Prada Infusion d'Iris and EuroItaly's Versace.
Fragrance of the Year nominees for Men's Nouveau Niche included Armani Privé Vetiver Babylone, Andy Warhol Silver Factory and New York Saks Fifth Avenue for Him by Bond No. 9, Courvoisier L'Edition Imperiale and Tom Ford for Men.
In the Fragrance of the Year luxe category, nominees for women's included Chanel Chance Eau Fraîche, Coach, Daisy Marc Jacobs from Coty, Dolce & Gabbana The One, Emporio Armani Diamonds, Hermès' Kelly Calèche and Nina by Nina Ricci. For the men's luxe category, Calvin Klein Man, Diesel Fuel for Life Men, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme, Fleur du Male Jean Paul Gaultier and Usher's He were nominated.
Both the men's and women's Popular Appeal categories featured five nominees. For men, Bijan Nude Men, Blue Seduction for Men by Antonio Banderas, Intimately Beckham Men, Mustang Cologne Spray and Samba Sexy Man were nominated. The women's side recognized Bijan Nude Women, Celine Dion Enchanting by Coty, Flirtatious from BeautyBank, Intimately Beckham Women by Coty and So Luxurious by Daisy Fuentes.
