As a model, Flavin-Stallone had always suffered from acne and wanted to create something that treated her sensitive skin. Best known for offering skin care and nutritional supplements, the wife of Sylvester Stallone started her business 15 years ago, selling the Serious Skin Care line on HSN. In October, Flavin-Stallone and her husband decided to parlay the success of Serious Skin Care to create Seriesse International, a home-based multilevel direct-selling marketing company employing more than 8,000 sales consultants to sell Seriesse health and beauty products. Seriesse International combines Flavin-Stallone's skin care line with her new luxury makeup, as well as Stallone's antiaging, nutrition and vitamin supplement product line, which he launched last fall.
"As a mom and part-time model, I've always been around beauty and wanted to create something that would take care of my needs," said Flavin-Stallone.
According to industry sources, the billion-dollar company is estimated to bring in $200 million in sales over the next three years with the new Seriesse brand.
With 13 items for the eyes, face and lips, the new mineral S.I. Color collection is designed to work on all skin tones. Featuring blushers, lip color and liners, eye shadows and liners, the products range from neutral to classic tones. While Serious Skin Care will still be sold on HSN, S.I. Color will be sold through Seriesse International sales representatives as well as online at seriesse.com. Items will retail from $16.50 to $32.50.
