Bare-Bones Beauty at Stella McCartney

This season, the beauty look at Stella McCartney was so natural, it could be called organic.

This season, the beauty look at Stella McCartney was so natural, it could be called organic.

“This time we’re using less makeup than ever before,” said makeup artist Pat McGrath. (And that’s for a house whose runway models traditionally sport next to no color cosmetics.) For the fall beauty look, McGrath groomed models’ eyebrows and only used minute amounts of makeup, according to need — virtually equivalent to “no makeup at all,” she said, “really, not a stitch. It’s very simple, very clean and very gorgeous.”

Also at Stella McCartney, hairstylist Eugene Souleiman said he had models’ hair thrown into buns to create texture and then let loose for a natural feeling.

“It’s gorgeous, sexy, freshly washed, luxurious hair,” he added.
