Sixties icons, such as Raquel Welch and Baby Jane Holzer, inspired makeup artist Pat McGrath and hairstylist Orlando Pita at Christian Dior Monday.

“They had luscious, great hair,” said Pita backstage before the show. He added that in order to keep models’ voluminous coifs looking sexy, he made them a bit “undone.”

As for McGrath, her focus was on peepers, which were outlined in hues such as white, black, pink or green, and fringed with faux eyelashes. Of the models, she said, “They have huge eyes — the biggest eyes.” Meantime, their skin had a “clean” look.
