Lentils, cardamom pods and fishbones might not seem like obvious sources of inspiration for a jewelry line, but for Padma Lakshmi, they’re the ingredients of her life. Lakshmi, host of Bravo’s Top Chef, model and all-around gastronome, has called upon her favorite kitchen ingredients to spark ideas for her line, Padma.

Standout styles include sautoir necklaces with small gold “pod” charms, gold link earrings resembling fish bones and a calla lily charm ring. The best part of Lakshmi’s jewelry, she says, is that it’s wearable. Pointing to one of her gold creations—a hand piece with a ring attached to a chain bracelet—she says: “I have cooked a whole dinner with that on.”

($375 to $6,600, at Bergdorf Goodman in May, 212.753.7300)
